[Gluaiseacht]  Bord na Mona seem to see the fact that there will be reduced straw due to this years weather as an opportunity to dig up more peat to sell to farmers.  It is time to revisit why Bord na Mona exists as alot has changed since it was established in 1933 to "to develop and improve the Turf Industry..." and "...to operate and drain bogs...".

Bord na Mona (BNM) is aiming to substantially increase its offering of peat used for livestock bedding for the upcoming housing season, it has been confirmed.
